Reconstruction of County Rd 21

Overview:

Greer Galloway undertook the reconstruction of 6.6 km section of County Road 21 in the County of Haliburton, extending from the Allsaw Bridge east to Peninsula Road.

It was approaching 30 years of age and requiring extensive rehabilitation and reconstruction.  The scope of work included the design and construction processes, including the preliminary design, Class EA, detailed design, project management and construction inspection.  Due to budget and time constraints, the County undertook the reconstruction of the road in two phases:  Phase One from Allsaw Bridge to Soyers Lake Road in 2008 and Phase Two from the limit of Phase 1 to west of Peninsula Road in 2009.
