Electrical Engineer
Immediate position for an Electrical Engineer in our Belleville office. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications and experience:
- Electrical Engineer licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario or eligible to be licensed by the PEO
- Experience with building services electrical design including main service power design, lighting plans, power plans, emergency lighting and fire alarm design
- Experience with water and waste water treatment plant electrical design including power and automation
- Experience with standby generator systems 50 to 500kW
- Experience with Arc Flash Hazardous Analysis studies, preferably with ETAP software
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- In depth knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Ontario Fire Code

Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer/Certified Engineering Technologist - Stormwater Management Design
Immediate position for an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist required for our Peterborough office. Responsibilities to include completing stormwater management design projects including overseeing the detailed design, completing stormwater calculations, report writing, liaison with project manager, design staff and approval agencies as required.
Definite knowledge and proven experience with software skills in Hydrology and Hydraulic modeling softwares such as SWMHYMO, VISUAL HYMO, STORMNET, FLOWMASTER, CULVERT MASTER, HEC-RAS, etc. AUTOCAD skills a must, preferably CIVIL 3D.
Other proficiencies required are site grading and drainage, design of stormwater ponds and knowledge of design standards/codes and Provincial standards.

Section Head: Planning and Site Development
Immediate position for a Senior Professional Engineer or Senior Certified Engineering Technologist required for our Peterborough office.
As a senior manager you will be responsible for managing site/land development projects from the start right through to final approval and detailed design. Responsibilities include overseeing and supervising design staff, conducting business development activities and client proposals, setting and managing financial budgets, completing design review & overseeing coordination of designers and coordination/ liaison with various approval agencies, conservation groups, etc. Project management, client liaison, reviewing technical reports and submissions to the approval agencies also form part of the various overall responsibilities.
This is a senior position requiring a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience. A willingness to relocate to the Peterborough area a condition of employment. We offer a competitive salary along with group benefits.

EIT and/or CET
Two immediate openings for EIT’s and/or CET’s with plus 3 years design experience in the Municipal Services field, including water, sewer, municipal roads, grading plans, stormwater maangement plans, topographic plans, subdivision development, etc. Excellent AutoCAD skills required and knowledge of Civil 3D preferred and a definite asset. Knowledge of topographic surveying, Total Station and/or GPS use is an asset. This position is a full-time permanent position located in our Peterborough office.

Structural Engineer (Buildings)
Required immediately: An E.I.T. or Professional Engineer with +3 years experience in structural analysis and design, mostly in the building services industry. Experience with analyzing wood, steel and concrete structures necessary. AutoCAD experience a must, knowledge of anlaytical software (such as STAADT.Pro) an asset.
Writing technical reports, design, supervising design staff, project management, client liaison and business development, managing and following project budgets amongst some of the duties and reponsibilities.

Intermediate to Senior Civil Engineer - Municipal Services – Design and Project Management

Contract Administrator - MTO
Contract Administrators required for our Peterborough office to administer MTO highway construction contracts and ensure all CA deliverables are monitored as per the consultant agreement and delivered promptly. Main responsibilities include ensuring staff maintain detailed diary records of contractor’s work, contract progress, inspection milestones and survey work required to calculate quantities for payment, review and comment/make recommendations on contractor’s submissions, review work not covered in contract documents and issue changed orders and negotiate price agreements, ensure all required quality assurance (QA) inspection and testing is carried out, review test results and calculate monthly penalty/bonus for payment. Applicant must have previous MTO contract administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification by OACETT with Road Construction Contract Administrator (rcca) designation and experience administering MTO highway or municipal construction projects. Must be able to read and interpret contract documents(drawing, OPS specifications, CAITM, etc.). Must have a working knowledge of required computer software and a valid driver’s license.
Senior Inspector
Senior inspectors required for our Peterborough office. Main responsibilities include inspection of contractors’ work to ensure contract specifications are met (construction standards, environmental, protection of wildlife, etc.), quality assurance sampling and testing, ensuring approved construction materials are used and acquired from approved sources, supervise and train junior inspectors and checkers, maintain accurate records (diaries, payement, etc.) and verification of payment documents. Applicant must have previous MTO Senior Inspector experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification by OACETT with Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi) designation. Must be able to read and interpret contract documents(drawing, OPS specifications, CAITM, etc.) and maintain accurate records.
